I did not actively dabble with the arts as a kid. I did not do anything even closely related to what that does not require numbers or equations. I did not doodle nor did I experiment with anything outside the boundaries - I was a concoction of one part obedience and two parts tragedy.
Opportunity clothed itself in a pen and presented itself on paper. Yet the first thing that emerged was a sentence. Sentence upon sentence, into paragraphs then a story. That was my first encounter with what would change my life forever.
It wasn't until I took a detour in my tertiary education that my words turned something I could hold in my hands. And though I never had a clue as to what I was doing, I think being lost isn't such a bad thing, embracing spontaneous change isn't that insane after all.
